Portions with snacking
O.k. I know that this is a basic rule of thumb but it really does help especially if you are having the munchies: put your snack in a bowl or baggy and eat only what you have there. You can see the amount of the snack and register it in your brain that this is my snack and nothing more. Having your snack in a visible amount helps prevent binges and helps you become more aware of how much you are eating. My hardest snack to control with the bowl method is white cheddar popcorn...that's a toughie. What is your hardest snack to control?
